Curious about beekeeping? This course will cover all the basics of starting a hive of bees. Topics include the anatomy of the honeybee, social structure of the hive, seasonal management, locating honeybee hives, and types of plants and flowers attractive to honeybees. You will have hands-on experience installing bees in the hive. Our textbook "First Lessons in Beekeeping," by K. Delaplane, will be available for purchase at the first class. (MW)
